Recap – Preview Service # 2

Posted by Heath Houston on Tuesday August 26th, 2008

Thanks so much for everyone who came to our second preview service this past Sunday night. We had a few less people than we had last time, but it was great to have 120 people there.  There were a lot of new faces again and we look forward to getting to know everyone.

The music portion of the service went great.  It was great to have our new friend Tommy playing bass with us.  We are really lucky to have Caleb, Bryan and Tommy helping us out right now as we get going.  Don’t forget these guys can’t help us out forever, so if you know of someone who can play guitar let me know!

Jason hit a home run with his sermon.  He really is a gifted communicator, but don’t tell him I said that.  It is a primary purpose in my life to keep him humble.  None the less, it is an awesome thought to consider that we have a God who pursues and finds us.  Maybe God will help him find a real house so he won’t have to live in that mobile home mansion in the video!

Welcome to The Journey

We are a new church plant on the west side of Atlanta in the Austell and Mableton area. At the Journey, we are trying to re-form the church around the teachings and example of Jesus Himself while building relational bridges to people in the current culture. Out with the self-righteous, judgmental attitudes and the useless religious traditionalism, and in with the fresh wind of the timeless teachings of love and forgiveness, acceptance and repentance.
