The Conduct: Colossians 2:16-23

Posted by Scott Johnston on Wednesday January 6th, 2010

n this message, pastor Jason offers a Christmas message that does not ring the same bells normally rung at Christmas.  In the text of Colossians 3:16-23, Paul tells us refuse the constraints of religion that are disguised as “maturing in Christ”.  Many would hold up their list of rules and regulation and expect that we conform as well.  Jesus, however, came in the flesh to give us freedom from the enslavement of those rules and regulations.  Merry Christmas, and may you receive the joy of your present liberty.

Welcome to The Journey

We are a new church plant on the west side of Atlanta in the Austell and Mableton area. At the Journey, we are trying to re-form the church around the teachings and example of Jesus Himself while building relational bridges to people in the current culture. Out with the self-righteous, judgmental attitudes and the useless religious traditionalism, and in with the fresh wind of the timeless teachings of love and forgiveness, acceptance and repentance.
